Miami’s Most Luxurious Hotels

When it comes to looking for a place to stay, many only want luxury, yes it might cost more but as they say, you get what you pay for. When it comes to luxury hotels, Miami does not disappoint. Miami is one of the top destination cities in the world for traveling and is there is no shortage of hotels to choose from. Miami has hotels ranging from little two star motels to five-star resorts on the beach. In a previous post I wrote about the most expensive and lavish hotel in New York City, in this post I am going to list some of the most luxurious hotels in Maimi.

Now keep in mind that when searching online there are many hotels that people consider the best. If I were to list them all, this post would never end. I am therefore limiting this post to ten hotels that are my picks for the most luxurious hotels in the Miami area.

St Regis Bal Harbour Resort

The first hotel on this list is the superb St Regis Bal Harbour, known for its  attention to detail. Upon waking up in the morning, you will enjoy fresh ocean breezes and amazing views of the beach from your spacious balcony. Its location is only minutes away from the party center of South Beach and steps away from exclusive Bal Harbour shops. The toughest part is checking out, you won’t want to leave its lush amenities and award class spa behind. (Read my review of the St Regis Bal Harbour, Here)

1 Hotel South Beach

Located in the center of South Beach the 1 hotel is one of a kind, excuse my pun. The 1 hotel brand is known for being environmentally friendly and tries to incorporate only natural and recycled materials into the construction of the resort. Not only is the hotel eco-friendly but with its poolside cabanas, waterside daybeds, luxury service, adults only rooftop pool, and delicious dining options 1 hotel is truly number one. (Oh I did it again)

W South Beach

Who said there can’t be more than one luxury hotel in South Beach. There is nothing like staying at the W Hotel. W hotels are located around the world and is known for being a hip hotel brand with luxurious amenities. The W South Beach stands tall on the vibrant streets of South Beach. Make sure to check out their Bliss Spa, art collections, basketball court, and their new bike program that lets you ride around the fun streets of Miami beach and explore the history of art deco.

Mandarin Oriental Maimi

The Mandarin Oriental is a peaceful 5-star resort that is located in the luxury Brickell Keys area. The hotel sits on its very own private island and offers views of the bay, a beach club, infinity pool, and lux Shanghai Tang and Karma boutiques. Just staying in a hotel on a private island is good enough for me.

Four Seasons Miami

The Four Seasons is set in the financial district of Miami. This hotel overlooks Biscayne Bay in the heart of downtown Miami. With a AAA 5 star rating this hotel stands out from all the luxury hotels in Miami. The hotel features a beautiful balance between modern art deco architecture and classic Latin American and Caribbean designs. The Pool is the place to be with its palm islands that are interwoven by pool hammocks, you could relax in a hammock and then take a lap in the nice refreshing pool.

Fountainebleau Miami Beach

Designed by architect Morris Lapidus, his creation is a masterpiece bedecked in black and white marble floors. The hotel’s lobby chandeliers and winding staircases bring you back to the classic luxury of the 50’s and 60’s. If your not spending your time by one of their multiple pools then you should make your way to one of the Fontainebleau’s many first-rate restaurants or its deluxe spa. If you like to party then head over at night to the hotel’s world-famous nightclub LIV.

Faena Miami Beach

The Faena has a lux decor and amazing art around the hotel. While walking onto its 100,000 square feet of private white-sand beach you will feel like you are in another world, and if you find yourself asking, “Did I just see a golden woolly mammoth skeleton in a glass cage on the beach? The answer is yes. The Faena is a 5-star luxury hotel that puts you first.

East Miami

Staying at the best hotel in Miami Beach is easy but how about staying at the best hotel in Miami. EAST, Miami caters to travelers who know that Miami’s beauty is not only by the beach. The sleek, 352-room hotel occupies the top floors of the new $1 billion Brickell City Centre. The hotel offers a giant pool deck, a collection of residential spaces, and Quinto La Huella, a rustic, wood-fired offshoot of Uruguay’s famed Parador La Huella.

Acqualina Resort Sunny Isles

Are looking for a resort without any of the crowds? At Acqualina, you’ll have all that and more. A few of the highlights: oversized rooms with oceanfront views, three pools, and relief from the see-and-be-seen restaurants that populate Miami Beach. The Acqualina is a must stay if you want peace and quiet as well as luxury.

Lowes Hotel Miami Beach

Lowes is one of the largest hotels in Miami with almost 800 guest-rooms. The hotel recently completed a $50 million renovation. Lowes welcomes everyone whether it be families with children, couples with dogs or business travelers. The hotel offer adults-only poolside cabanas, a beachfront location, and Lure Fishbar, a South Beach outpost of the popular Manhattan eatery, among its draws.
